Hardness: Rc 36-43
Tensile stress: 1100 MPa based on minimum thread neck area (G min.).
Shear stress: 660 MPa
Threads: ANSI B1.13M; ISO 262. Thread class: 4g 6g.
Concentricity - head: Body to head outside diameter within 0.15 TIR when checked in a V block.
Concentricity - thread: Body to thread pitch diameter within 0.1 TIR when checked 5 mm from the shoulder at the threaded end.
Combined geometric control: Squareness, concentricity, parallelism and bow of body to thread pitch diameter within 0.05 TIR per centimeter of body length, maximum 0.5, when seated against the shoulder in a threaded bushing and checked on the body 2.5 D from the underside of the head.
Squareness: Head bearing surface perpendicular to body axis within a maximum deviation of 2 degrees.
Shoulder tolerance: Shoulder diameter tolerance h8 (ISO R 286). Length tolerance in drawing: +0.25 / -0.00 mm.
Torque guidance: Recommended seating torques are supplier guidelines only. Induced loads may vary by as much as +/-25% depending on mating interface conditions, lubrication, surface finish, hardness and bolt/joint compliance. Correct tightening significantly affects fastener performance.
